The La Liga champions are said to be on the lookout for a long-term replacement for current first choice centre forward Luis Suarez, with the Uruguayan approaching 32 and struggling with consistent knee problems.

A lack of a ready-made successor to Suarez has apparently prompted Barcelona to seek a world-class replacement on the transfer market, with England superstar Kane emerging at the top of their list, according to the Daily Star.
Ernesto Valverde’s side will get a first-hand experience of Kane’s qualities when they face Tottenham in their final match of the Champions League group stage on Tuesday.
Kane was named on the bench by Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino for Saturday’s 2-0 win over Leicester City. Though the 25-year-old was brought on as a 74th minute substitute at the King Power Stadium, it was a clear sign of intent from the Tottenham boss ahead of Tuesday.

It is a case of all-or-nothing for Spurs as they head into their huge encounter with the Catalan giants at the Camp Nou, with the north London side currently level on points with Inter in Group B and needing to win to keep their hopes of progression in their own hands.
Kane is clearly crucial to Pochettino’s plans ahead of the showdown and has kept his star man rested to ensure that the striker is in top form in Catalonia.

Should Kane deliver the goods at the Camp Nou, however, it is only likely to further entice the hosts into making a future move for Tottenham’s star man.
Spurs are said to be desperate to keep hold of Kane ahead of their move into their new stadium but are apparently wary of the delay on the move and the great costs of their new home, making them potentially open to any bids which exceed £150m.

PSG prodigy Kylian Mbappe, Everton’s new star Richarlison and Atletico Madrid superstar Antoine Griezmann are also said to feature among Barca’s attacking targets, though Kane is apparently their priority option.
