Jermaine Defoe is expected to be named in the Spurs squad to face his former club Portsmouth this weekend.

The Spurs striker has been sidelined for a fortnight with a broken bone in his hand and was forced to sit-out the two recent England international World Cup qualifiers against Ukraine and Belarus.

However, Defoe's injury has now healed and he is expected to go straight back into the squad that face Pompey at Fratton Park on Saturday afternoon.
