Harry Kane discussing Qatar World Cup protest with fellow international captains

England captain Harry Kane has revealed he is in touch with the skippers of other international sides heading to this year's World Cup to plan a protest against Qatar's human rights issues.

A report from Amnesty International revealed that thousands of migrant workers are being exploited in the country, while homosexuality remains illegal in Qatar.

Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate has previously admitted he will educate himself on the issues in Qatar ahead of any protest, while Kane has now revealed that he is talking to other international captains - namely France's Hugo Lloris and Denmark's Christian Eriksen, both of whom he's close with having played together at Tottenham - about what action they could take.

"Christian Eriksen got in touch with me a couple of weeks ago now. Obviously there is Hugo Lloris, who I am in touch with a lot anyway. So the discussion was there to maybe do something as a collective," Kane said.

"When we come to a decision of something we want to do, for sure we will share it. I think it will be important to do it collectively. I feel like it will be a bit more of a stance, a bit more power."
