Inter Offer Christian Eriksen 4-Year Contract & Ready €20m Transfer Fee

Italian outfit Inter have offered Christian Eriksen a four-year contract and are preparing to submit a €20m bid to Tottenham this month.

The Denmark international is in the last six months of his contract in north London and is free to talk to clubs abroad over possible moves at the end of the season.

Tottenham have even given Eriksen a measly €20m price tag as they look to avoid losing him on a free transfer, with The Guardian's Fabrizio Romano confirming that the asking price is being considered by Antonio Conte's Inter.

The Italian side initially approached Eriksen's agent, Martin Schoots, with a four-year contract with the view of completing a deal for the end of the season, but the 28-year-old's low price is making the club weigh up a move this month.

Gianluca Di Marzio adds that Inter could even look to offer Uruguay international Matías Vecino as part of any move for Eriksen this month.

It isn't suggested one way or the other whether Tottenham would be interested in signing Vecino during the January transfer window.

The Nerazzurri have already held talks with Eriksen's agent, while Paris Saint-Germain are also expected to hold talks in the coming days.

It's unknown if Harry Kane's recent injury could impact Tottenham's stance over selling Eriksen this month, although an extra €20m (roughly £17m) would assist the club in their efforts to find a stop-gap during the January transfer window.

Spurs have most notably been linked with a move for AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piątek, but they've also been keeping an eye on Celtic's Odsonne Edouard - although he won't be available until the summer transfer window.

If Tottenham are looking to promote from within, however, then Troy Parrott could be given the chance to become the fourth young Republic of Ireland striker to make an impact at a senior level in England this season.
