Jose Mourinho Admits He Hasn't Enjoyed Amazon Documentary Filming at Spurs

Jose Mourinho will take charge of his first north London derby on Sunday, but while the hype and excitement around the fixture takes precedent, there is no denying that the circumstances surrounding his Tottenham side could be distinctly better.

Some limp displays since the Premier League returned have cast a dark cloud over the club's goals this season, and heading into their clash with Arsenal they sit one point and one place behind them in a lowly ninth place.

Speaking ahead of the mouth-watering fixture, Mourinho discussed a number of topics regarding issues both on and off the pitch, including the hotly-anticipated Amazon Prime documentary that has been filmed throughout the 2019/20 campaign.

After the highs of reaching last season's Champions League final, Amazon saw fit to embark on another football club-based docuseries, this time centered around the exploits of Tottenham's 2019/20 season.

It's been a whirlwind campaign in north London, with managerial changes, thumping defeats and off-field turmoil ensuring that the series will be a must watch for all non-football and football loving spectators. Not, however, for Mourinho.

"I try to forget them [the Amazon cameras] during the time, if you ask me something I enjoy, no. I don't like the feeling of being in Big Brother and I try to forget them," he said in his press conference, via Alasdair Gold.

"So, so, so, so real, nobody acted for it. It is just the way it is. Am I going to watch it? No. No I'm not. It is not something I want to, also because I know better than anyone what our day by day is here but I think it will be very, very interesting for the people who love football and love sport. I think it will be really great for them.

"I have no idea what is there, I have no concerns. Nothing is fake, everything is real. I think for them it must be great for them because they have day by day, 24 hours of what football club and dressing room is. They have everything."

A teaser was recently released by the streaming service of the upcoming All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur, and needless to say, everyone is anxious to watch.

Mourinho also discussed Tottenham's record signing, Tanguy Ndombele, who joined the club last summer with heaps of expectation on his shoulders. However, his debut campaign in English football has been anything but a smooth ride. Glimpses of his talent have been shown this season, but fitness issues and a lack of faith from Mourinho have seen his involvement be bit-part at best.

He was introduced as a half-time sub in the recent stalemate with Bournemouth, with the tactician stopping short of praising his impact by insisting he was no better than the rest of his side.

"Our attacking players are very good," he stated. "We cannot get better players than what we have. One thing is not scoring goals and the other is that the players are not good enough. They are good enough. I don't want to replace my players.

"The feeling was we are going to have the ball, going to have space to play, not space to penetrate but space to play, to have the ball and with the midfield players I had on the bench: Skipp, Gedson, the kid Harvey, Tanguy I felt he was the one with that talent to move the ball.

"I think he was the same level as the team, not better and not worse."

Mourinho also confirmed that Dele Alli will miss the Arsenal clash with a hamstring injury, one he picked up during training at the beginning of July. He will join Japhet Tanganga and Juan Foyth on the sidelines, while Eric Dier will also be unavailable due to the four-match suspension he received on Wednesday.
