Nuno Espirito Santo returns to management with Saudi side Al-Ittihad

Former Tottenham and Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo has agreed to take over Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad.

The 48-year-old had been out of work since leaving Spurs in November 2021, managing just 17 games in charge at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before being given the boot and replaced by Antonio Conte.

Eight months later and Nuno is back in business, inking a deal to head to Saudi Arabia with Al-Ittihad.

"It's an honour for me to join the greatest club in Saudi Arabia, Ittihad," he said in a short message to fans. "See you soon."

Previous reports had suggested that Nuno was waiting for a job in the Premier League to open up and he was tipped to join Burnley following the departure of Sean Dyche late last season, but no offer ever arrived.

Instead, he has made the move to Saudi Arabia, signing a two-year deal to take over a squad which includes the likes of ex-West Brom defender Ahmed Hegazy and former Palermo duo Bruno Henrique and Igor Coronado.
