Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho 'ready to let Dele Alli leave' for PSG

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho is prepared to give the green light on Dele Alli's loan move to Paris Saint-Germain before the January transfer window closes, though chairman Daniel Levy still needs to be convinced to sanction the move.

The England midfielder has fallen out of favour at Spurs this season despite having began life under Mourinho as a key part of his starting XI.

Alli has made just four appearances in the Premier League this campaign - three of which have come from the bench - with the majority of his outings coming in the Europa League and domestic cup competitions.

Last year's Champions League finalists PSG have been rumoured to be keeping tabs on the 24-year-old for a while now, with speculation intensifying following the recent appointment of former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Mourinho has moved to distance the midfielder from talks of a move away from north London in recent weeks - insisting that he had played his way back into his plans - however, the Daily Mail report that the Tottenham boss is now prepared to allow the 24-year-old to head to Parc des Princes on loan.

The only remaining stumbling block in the deal remains the approval of Daniel Levy.

The Spurs chairman has appeared reluctant to sanction the midfielder's departure, and the ankle injury picked up by Harry Kane in the club's recent defeat to Liverpool could seriously impact Alli's hopes of a move away.

Kane is no stranger to ankle problems, though the knock he sustained at Anfield isn't thought to be as serious as some of his previous injuries.

Nevertheless, the England captain is still set to be sidelined for a handful of matches at the very least, and coupled with the injury to Giovani Lo Celso, Levy may yet block Alli's departure from the club.
