Tottenham have drawn up a three-man shortlist of striker targets as they attempt to strengthen their attacking options for the 2020/21 season.
Having failed to find a replacement for Fernando Llorente, Spurs' lack of depth up front was exposed during the 2019/20 campaign after both Harry Kane and Son Heung-min suffered long-term injuries.
Jose Mourinho has already recruited midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, right-back Matt Doherty and goalkeeper Joe Hart in preparation for his first full season in charge, leaving just a striker remaining on his wish list.
According to football.london, Spurs have three strikers on their radar - having opted not to bid for Ollie Watkins or Callum Wilson.
Watkins sealed a £25m plus move to Villa, with the price tag deemed to excessive for Spurs, while the combination of Wilson's age and injury history meant he was considered too much of a risk.
Tottenham are instead interested in Red Bull Salzburg forward Patson Daka, who scored 24 goals in 31 games last season.
One doubt most strikers can have regarding a move to Tottenham is game time, given the status Kane is afforded in north London, but the 21-year-old can also be deployed out wide, potentially increasing his opportunities for minutes.
Metz striker Habib Diallo is also on Tottenham's list of potential targets. The 25-year-old hit 26 goals to help guide the French side to promotion to Ligue 1 during the 2018/19 campaign, before finding the net 12 times in 26 appearances to keep his side afloat during their first season back in the top flight.
Diallo has two years left to run on his current deal, and Spurs have previous when it comes to the forward, having made enquiries about him during the January transfer window.
Arkadiusz Milik completes Tottenham's list of targets. The 26-year-old Napoli forward found the net 11 times in 26 Serie A appearances last season and has one year remaining on his contract.
However, his wage demands are reportedly around the £150,000-a-week mark, and with finances tight in north London, Spurs will likely not be prepared to hand such a lucrative contract to someone who is not a guaranteed starter.
