Tottenham Fourth Kit 2020/21: Leaked Images Show Inspiration From Nike Air Max

Pictures of Tottenham Hotspur's fourth kit ahead of the 2020/21 season have been leaked online, with the new shirt design apparently being inspired by Nike's iconic Air Max 95.

This new jersey will be the club's first-ever fourth shirt since moving to kit manufacturer Nike and it's set to have quite an eye catching design, which has received a mixed reaction from fans on social media.

The shirt, which should be released midway through next season, dons the same gradient colour design as Nike's Air Max 95 range, as well as the yellow trim and decals which are also on their trainers.

Brought to you as ever by Footy Headlines, the shorts for Tottenham's fourth kit will be black to continue the gradient patters which is seen on the Air Max 95s.

Aside from the colour scheme, one noticeable change with next season's fourth kit - compared to other leaked shirts for the 2020/21 season - is the club crest and Nike swoosh being moved to a central position on the shirt.

Despite the eye catching design which on face value is actually rather impressive, fans have unsurprisingly called the motives behind the kit into question - notably the fact it's been inspired by one of Nike's trainers, rather that something to do with the club.

Although Tottenham's third kit for the 2018/19 season came with a questionable 'Neptune Green' colour scheme, it also had a stunning map of north London across the chest.

The club announced at the time (via Standard Sport): "The design is inspired by a combination of modern sport, territorial pride and Spurs’ heritage.

"The club’s impact in North London is depicted graphically through the heavy, foreboding darkness of the upper half of the shirt with hard, geometric design elements drawing references from the club’s iconic kits of 1985-86, 1986-87 and 1991-92.

"The print on the shirt appears as a modern, asymmetrical pattern, blurring the lines between football culture and youth-inspired street culture."

That fantastic reasoning behind a new shirt appears to have been thrown out of the window when it comes to next season's fourth kit, however, and some fans aren't too pleased with what is effectively the t-shirt version of an Air Max 95.
