Team News

Alli is likely to miss out again for Spurs

England international Dele Alli will not return for Spurs, manager Jose Mourinho confirming that he remains unavailable through injury, while Eric Dier will serve the second match of his suspension. Young defenders Juan Foyth and Japhet Tanganga remain unavailable.

As for Arsenal, they will be without youngster Eddie Nketiah following his red card against Leicester last time out. Bernd Leno, Calum Chambers, Pablo Mari, and Gabriel Martinelli remain sidelined.

Predicted Lineups

Tottenham Hotspur: Lloris; Aurier, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Davies; Sissoko, Winks; Moura, Lamela, Son; Kane.

Arsenal: Martinez; Bellerin, Luiz, Mustafi, Kolasinac, Tierney; Xhaka, Ceballos; Pepe, Lacazette, Aubameyang.

Recent Form

The Lilywhites have been far from impressive since the restart, picking up eight points in their last five games - scoring only five times in the process. To make matters worse, two of those goals were own goals, and a toothless performance against strugglers Bournemouth did little to ease these worries.

On the bright side, the defence has been remarkably solid (barring one aberration against Sheffield United), keeping three clean sheets in their previous four outings.

Harry Kane was left frustrated last time out

After a nightmare return against Man City, Mikel Arteta's side have turned their fortunes around in impressive fashion, winning four of the last five games in all competitions.

Arteta will also be encouraged by his defence, conceding just two goals in those last five outings.

Here is how both sides have looked going into Sunday's game.

Tottenham Hotspur

Bournemouth 0-0 Tottenham (09/07)
Tottenham 1-0 Everton (06/07)
Sheffield United 3-1 Tottenham (02/07)
Tottenham 2-0 West Ham (23/06)
Tottenham 1-1 Manchester United (19/06)

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang opens the scoring in the Gunners' 1-1 draw against Leicester

Arsenal

Arsenal 1-1 Leicester City (07/07)
Wolverhampton Wanderers 0-2 Arsenal (04/07)
Arsenal 4-0 Norwich City (01/07)
Sheffield United 1-2 Arsenal (28/06)
Southampton 0-2 Arsenal (25/06)

Prediction

The north London derby is a fixture that rarely disappoints, providing just one goalless game in the last 51 editions.

Mourinho has only lost twice against Arsenal in 20 games

Having played in many north London derbies during his playing career, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta will know exactly how much this fixture means to the fans watching at home.

With the home side struggling for goals and the Gunners in fine form, it is difficult to see a positive result for Spurs.

Prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 1-2 Arsenal
