Victor Osimhen's Agent Claims He'd Be Interested in Tottenham Move on One Condition

The agent of Lille striker Victor Osimhen has admitted that his client would be interested in joining Tottenham - but only if the club's star forward Harry Kane is sold.

The Nigerian hotshot had been in fine form this season before Ligue 1 was cancelled, scoring 13 times in 27 league games - securing Europa League football for next season.

As for Spurs, the hunt for a new striker has been at the forefront of their transfer activity, with José Mourinho desperately seeking an able backup to England's captain.

Highly-rated Osimhen has been linked with a move to Spurs in the past, but his agent has now admitted that he'd only be interested in joining the club on one condition.

In an interview with Nigerian newspaper The Cable, the player's agent Ariyo Igbayilola, said: “We told Mourinho that if he wants Victor, will Harry Kane be leaving?

“If Kane is still playing for Tottenham will Victor play? Because he will always be benched for him," he added.

The issue of signing a quality second striker has the plagued the club since the emergence of Kane, with Vincent Janssen and Fernando Llorente among the players to have signed for decent money - only to then underperform.

Sitting on the bench was detriment to their playing careers, something that Igbayiola is keen for his client not to experience.

“Kane is their number one striker and he is the captain of England. All of these will always work for him in the club but at Victor’s detriment," he added.

“He needs a club where he will always play full game week in, week out. Not to be kept on the bench.”

Osinhem is not the only player thought to be in Tottenham and José Mourinho's sights, with the Portuguese boss reportedly favouring a move for Wolves' Mexican star Raul Jimenez.

But it's unlikely he'll want to play second fiddle to Kane either, leaving Spurs to consider whether or not to promote Troy Parrott to the senior ranks on a regular basis.
