"I am now looking forward to the new season and I will do everything I can to make the left back position my own," he said.
However, Edman who suffered a slight achilles problem while in Korea, is unlikely to feature against FC Porto in the final preparation before the new season gets underway.
"I probably need another week and then I will be ready for it," added Edman.
