Tottenham Hotspur are on the verge of completing a £35 million deal for Atletico Madrid midfielder Conor Gallagher.
The England international is scheduled for a medical in London today as Ange Postecoglou looks to fill the void left by Rodrigo Bentancur’s long-term injury.
Gallagher, who struggled for consistent minutes under Diego Simeone this season, is reportedly keen on a Premier League return.
Spurs appear to have beaten out competition from Aston Villa for the 25-year-old, whose energy and leadership are seen as a perfect fit for Postecoglou’s high-intensity system.
