Tottenham Hotspur have offered their deep condolences to interim manager Igor Tudor following the passing of his father, Mario.
The Croatian discovered the news shortly after his side suffered a 3-0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
Assistant Bruno Saltor stood in for post-match media duties and declined to elaborate on the family issue at the time.
Tudor has struggled since taking over from Thomas Frank, losing five of his seven matches in charge.
With Spurs now seventeenth in the table and just one point above the relegation zone, the club must decide whether to stick with Tudor during the three-week international break.
Reports suggest former Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi is open to the permanent role this summer, but only if the club remains in the Premier League.
