So to put things in perspective I have some stats from another article.
At a 23.1% conversion rate he was placed 5th amongst the worst strikers of the EPL. Interestingly enough 3 of these strikers all cost £5million (maybe a cursed number?), worse 2 of those cost around £10million!
So this is the table for this season most wasteful strikers
5th Adebayor 23.1% conversion rate cost £5million
4th Papis Demba Cisse 22.7% conversion rate cost £9-10million
3rd Nikica Jelavic 18.2% conversion rate cost £5million
2nd Olivier Giroud 10.3% conversion rate cost £9-10million
1st Danny Graham 0% conversion rate cost £5million
So looking at it from my way of thinking Ade was without a doubt the best buy there at £5million and having the best conversion rate, but I have to say I feel for Danny Graham, not for Giroud (he has a big reputation that he failed to deliver).
Before any arsenal fans jump on about Ade, he cost half the price of Giroud and still has a much better conversion rate whilst playing a lot less!
Not defending Ade by the way Spurs fans as we all know that should Ade of scored half of the amount of goals as last season we likely have been looking at Champions League qualification, but I just wanted you all to see that things could have been far worse and we could of spent much more money.
