Before the game I like to see peoples comments on Twitter in regards to the starting line up. Interestingly enough fans went mad seeing that Ade was starting ahead of JD.
However I cannot understand why? All season I have been behind Ade as I know what he is capable of and that it was more club politics that had dented his confidence. Some say it is because he didn't have to play out of his skin to land a contract, but I do not believe this.
From the off Ade was chasing the ball down and making himself available for the ball, so I had a feeling at that point that he was in the mood to make a name for himself and sure enough he did it again.
Ade saved the team last night with a delightful chip to the keepers back post and an assisted back heal (that looked as good as his goal), winning him man of the match (and rightly so).
I would like again to remind all fans that Ade is more than capable of doing his job at any time.
However I think that it works better as whenever the fans are moaning about him and I remind fans of who he is, he goes and proves me right (and who doesn't like to be right?).
I commented last night that Ade is our Shaun Goater, scoring the important goals rather than lots of goals. Now can anyone really say that we don't need that type of player now? Our last two games are paramount and with Ade playing at his best I can't see anything other than 6 points.
I still see Arsenal and Chelsea dropping points, so the team will have their opportunity.
