Atletico Madrid have had a bid rejected by Ajax for Toby Alderweireld.
We are among a host of clubs interested in the Belgian defender and although the player stated himself that he would prefer a club offering Champions League, it was thought that we had a chance of signing him (thanks to our Belgian connections).
The bid is believed to be in the region of £6.4million and it is signs that we must step up our efforts if we wish to sign this guy.
Again this is going to the end people and still this window is not failing to impress us and other fans with our muscle flexing in the market.
