As we all know Baines has been linked to Utd for years now, but it is becoming increasingly likely that Baines will make the move to Utd and link back up with Moyes.
Patrice Evra has also been linked with a move back to France with Monaco . However I hear that Utd had offered Evra in hope to open back up a relationship with us over a long term view of signing Bale.
Ok I know I am not a fan of bringing in the old, but it raises more of a question of what we could get be dangling Bale to such clubs.
Real Madrid are ridiculously keen to land Bale so maybe a cheeky bid for Coentrão (a great LB) that would certainly fit into the team?
Really what this comes down to is that although I like Benni I do not feel that he can stay as the starting LB (if we wish to move the squad forward). Luke Shaw is a great LB and would strengthen our English contingency, whilst improving our defence dramatically. Chelsea were said to be interested in him, but have failed to make any move, so why not strike whilst we can? I am fully aware that we are in need of strengthening in other area's (upfront most importantly), but I can assure you the youngster will be worth even more next season.
Having signed the midfield engine that we were in need of only leaves the striking position to work on, so is two strikers and a LB too much to ask? Likely it will be with Jedvaj and Halilovic commanding a £17million fee together I expect to see that deal complete along with two strikers.
