It was only a matter of time for it to come out, but whether it the papers again or Vertonghen that states it we all know that Eriksen would have spoken to our new instant hero.
Jan has said many things on the player on how technically gifted he is as a player, but would need to gain some strength to get along in the EPL (sounds familiar doesn't it? the same was said of one Luka Modric).
Eriksen is a cheaper alternative to the other players we have been linked with, but maybe he is not as much of a risk as I had assessed him. He is already playing very well against some of Europe's top teams, but he has questioned his consistency himself already. So its 50-50 now.
At the right price we would be crazy not to snap him up in January, but its unlikely that Ajax will be willing to let this future star as cheap as Vertonghen.
Either way I would like to see us make a try in Jan if possible.
