It was announced that Watford have a deal in place, but Stambouli needs to give it the final seal of approval (having supposedly added terms).
However there is a new twist in the transfer which could be why Stambouli is waiting.
If this is the case it would benefit both Spurs and player as not only would Stambouli receive better terms, but he would be able to ply his trade in the Champions League! PSG are said to be offering £6million (an additional £500K from Watford's offer).
Either way I do not see the player staying around WHL for much longer, but if anything I feel that this is another one of those dirty agent tricks in order to push the wages up a little bit more (whilst making the player look great to Watford fans accepting a bid from them over PSG).
Stambouli was unfortunate in his time at WHL so I would like to wish him luck in the future, I'm sure he will do well if given the opportunity to play!
