Are the excuses being made early?

Although I had allowed my heart to get carried away (I think given the circumstances any fan would have been the same) as it seemed from everyones response that it was all done and dusted.

The issue now is whether the players were aware of this and if so, why has their form dropped so badly compared to the high flying results and performances up until January?

With the opportunity now fully placed back into our hands (for Champs League), is Redknapp making an early excuse for failure? Newcastle dropped off massively with the defeat against Wigan and they have a tough fixture coming against Chelsea. For this reason I am ruling Newcastle out of the running. Chelsea have their eyes firmly set on Champions League success and this will affect their league performances. Arsenal have on paper the easiest wrap up to the season with both fixtures coming against teams that have nothing to play for. But does this mean there is still a chance of 3rd? More importantly why is Redknapp making an early excuse for failure?

With 3 games left (on paper) a 9 point finish, but given our performance of recent against the underdogs we have failed, but why give up now? Arsenal had failed to beat Stoke and that has left the door open. I know that I am now sounding like Wenger, but there is a chance. The players look sharpe, in the final 3rd still a little questionable, but we must take advantage of the desperation of the teams we are now facing. Bolton will go all out as will Villa and Fulham will be wanting a good final day result against a London rival. We should be able to capitalise against this and outclass these teams

In my eyes Redknapp should keep his eyes on the prize, keep pushing the guys hard and success should follow with a renewed confidence found in the team,

Can we do it? In the words of a famous builder... Yes We Can! Come on Harry, come on lads...

Come On You Spurs
