Although I am glad that we have not signed the player I am still baffled by our tactics in this window.
Arsenal have already said they are to sign a mdifielder as they have problems with injuries and suspensions, it just highlights our stupidity.
Osvaldo was available on loan, Mandzukic is supposedly available on loan and Hulk supposedly available on loan (no I do not think that move will ever materialise).
The point I continue to make is that we do not have to spend big to get another striker. Even to fill another left back slot Fabio Contraeo is available on loan. Cheap options are always available (look at the VDV £8million deal). Its sorry times when you see a board give up!
