AVB is the Messiah

Overall we must remember what AVB has managed so far. Big wins against the "big" teams and all has been achieved without a consistent striker, Modric, VDV and our best Centre Back (at the time injured for the season).

JD had started the season well, but injury or confidence has led to his decline in consistency in scoring (I have no problem with this as I rate JD). Ade has struggled this season and whether it be down to something hushed or just himself we have to look to strengthen up front in the summer.

AVB came to us essentially as a broken man. His reputation destroyed by the childish “old guard” in the Chelsea squad and an impatient owner. We were soon able to see AVB's quality as he turned Spurs round very quickly.

Tactics and fitness were a key ingredient that the team were missing and once this was installed there was no stopping us. Going on an unbeaten run from September and most of October (a notable win at Old Trafford was included in there!). A stop start result list followed this until 25th November and we saw 10 wins 1 loss and 4 draws to follow (this includes a draw to Utd and win against Liverpool). Not bad I thought and so did the rest of the fans. Following some poor results fan got on AVB’s back again and solely blamed him for the loss. I was angered by this as the players are also responsible, but now with a great win against City we seem to have bounced back.

Although we had then faced another dip in form I have every faith in the young manager!

AVB in my opinion was not ready for the role and I was concerned that he would take too long to settle with our beloved team, but I am overjoyed that he has proven me wrong and over such a short space of time. Objectives for me were originally based on Levy making some large acquisitions, however what he in fact did was test AVB and see what he could do with a taste of money. We all know what Daniel is like haha. So my personal target of 4th or above could be seen as me having my head in the clouds with what Levy bought in. 4th is achievable and I want that, but 5th is no disaster.

AVB has shown that although he has a squad under strengthened (compared to Redknapp), that he is still achieving the same if not more from the squad. This really must highlight not just to us Spurs fans but most importantly to the footballing world that AVB is in fact a genius. Now I do not mean any offence to the players that we have bought (Vertonghen, Dembele, Dempsey, Siggy, Holtby and Lloris), but with Ade's goals from last season gone (not replaced) and Bale essentially replacing VDV in the second striker role, but that meant that there was no one to replace Bale on the left and Modric in the middle. AVB is likely to be one of the best managers to feature at Tottenham since the start of the EPL.

A new era could be coming with some of the EPL young managers. Pep inherited a great team at Barca, but he still managed to make himself recognised as a great manager. So I am certain that we are about to witness something similar as we really do have some good young managers. It’s no wonder that Real are sniffing around AVB and Bale, but as far as I am concerned you can swap Mourinho and Ronaldo for Bale and AVB, but still get a similar return, so I would rather stick not twist, however Levy get the wallet out of the Mrs's handbag and ready for the summer window (where we must see a large investment, now you know you can trust AVB to spend it wisely).

Say what you want about AVB, I'm happy, the team's happy, why change it?
