Late last night going I was going through the internet (as always) looking on what new rubbish has been published on our team and its players. I came across something that first made me laugh, then made my blood boil.
Matt Barlow of the Daily Mail has in my opinion attempted to smear the good name of Gareth Bale by reporting (if that is what you call it) that Bale has demanded £200k to stay at Tottenham!
So you can imagine why at first I laughed (reading the title), but my anger came as there was no mention of any sources.
So in essence this article was completely fabricated!
I have no problem with these stories coming out but this one is a smear on Gareth good name and he has not asked for £200k! As stated previously when reports of £170k came out I made it clear that was still too high for what is on offer.
Do not believe these sorts of articles and in my opinion with journalists like this working for the Daily Mail, stay well clear (unless you want some nice pullouts). In summary again the delay was due to waiting on the final game and where we finished (as the contract would have to be worded correctly).
