Bale's Delight

Then on the 75th Minute he pulled wide played in a great ball across the box and then we were level.

I then started to wonder whether it was a great big ploy, hold back until the final part of the game, run them down and let them believe Bale wasn't fit. Either way it was a great turn around. On the 1 goal (its quality) and the assist it was a worthy Man of the Match performance, but it should detract us from the performance of the team (which I felt was good).

That’s now 18 goals in the EPL and now with Suarez chomping down the pecking order you would imagine that the two horse race is Bale and RVP.

Bale may not be seen as the entire saviour of the game and in my opinion he shouldn't but I am glad to have him back!

This is what he had to say after the game;

“We knew it was a massive game and going 1-0 down was a bit disappointing, but the lads showed the character to turn it around,” said Gareth.

“That spell was amazing. As soon as we scored the equaliser everyone had the confidence and belief. The fans raised the roof and that gave us even more belief to go forward and we were able to score two more after that.

“All three goals were important. The first gave us the belief, the second killed them off a little and the third sealed it. It was a great comeback.”
