Bundesliga Star in Spurs medical?

Last updated : 26 August 2015 By Hoggg

Spurs have been linked with the South Korean star previously so this name should be recognised by fans.

The attacking midfielder (that can also play as a second striker) as been playing well since his move from Hamburg to Leverkusen and his 17 goals last season has prompted Spurs to make a move for the 23 yr old again.

Full name Hueng Min Son started his career at the famous FC Seoul where he was spotted at the age of 16 by Hamburg scouts. 1 season in the second team and he was quickly promoted into the first team in the 2010 -2011 season, but it was not until the 2012-2013 season that he became more of a household name and a transfer to Bayern Leverkusen soon followed for a reported €10m.

Since then the attacker has been improving each season on his goal tally with 12 goals the following season and 17 last season.

At the suggested fee of £21.5m it does seem a high price with a proven EPL scoring in Berahino being slightly more. However the transition from the Bundesliga to the EPL should not be too hard as both are viewed as a similar style.

As the reports have come from Germany (and news papers not just websites) this rumour may have some legs to it.

For me I question whether this move is risky given the failures with other young talents brought in to WHL.
