Defoe Injury was avoidable

Last updated : 05 February 2013 By Hog

I have had enough of looking at who is to blame as we are fully aware that the focus is board level.

Whether it was another mid level striker that was purchased it would have been better than taking the risk of injuring Defoe further.Against WBA was it a fresh injury or was it that Defoe could feel his current injury coming through too much and had to pull out (the tackle providing a perfect excuse)? Either way it was completely avoidable.

There are plenty of strikers that would have been available for the rest of the season and they could have done a good enough job. As I had said before I would have rather had Robbie Keane for 4 or 5 games and get JD back to full fitness than to do nothing and risk JD. My point was proven as JD is now injured for 3 weeks they believe!

It does not make sense with 1 striker that we had to rely on to not protect him with a decent backup plan!

Its a sensless act that has back fired, Ade may now be back but there are other issues that I will go through later.

I am left the typical frustrated Spurs fan, left scratching my head and once again wondering, WHAT HAS JUST HAPPENED?

We are progressing in other area's but up front we have fallen well behind.
