When I first heard this I thought ok Clint did start to play well for us so this could work, but his stats from the MLS may put you off.
In 8 games Clint has not managed to find the net or help his team mates find it! This seems bizarre for me, but you can look it up yourself.
There is a supposed clause in the deal which took Dempsey to Seattle in which we have first refusal if the player is available for loan. I have to ask whether it would be the right choice?
Clint scored 12 goals last season and 6 assists, but with the likes of Eriksen, Holtby, Dembele, Lamela and Chadli all able to play in Clint's favoured position; would he warrant a place ahead of them? You have to answer no.
Clint's work ethics cannot be questioned and he was always throwing himself into every and anything, but I believe that the squad has moved on since his short time with us.
I wish him all the best out in the MLS, but it would be a waste for all parties to bring back the guy.
