EXCLUSIVE: Lloris is AVB's No. 1

Although on stats alone Brad is conceding 1.30 goals a game and Lloris conceding 2 (premier league only) you may think that Brad is hard done by to be replaced, however its not a true reflection on the state of play on the pitch overall.

Lloris was at the end of some Gallas defending that I believe should have only seen him conceded 2 goals in his 3 premier league appearances. Gallas has since been removed from the squad and rightly so. Going on these figures (if Gallas was not playing) Lloris would have seen his rate drop to .666 goals per game.

To see a true comparison we must look at all competitive games for the 12-13 season. Brad is conceding 1.30 goals a game and Lloris 1.22. Both keepers we involved in a high scoring goal fest that see their statistics jump however Brad has played more games. The most interesting fact is that Lloris has had 3 clean sheets this season, where Brad has kept 0.

This is where I believe the tables are turning. Lloris has been put in for 2 of the last London Derby's and it must be a show of faith that AVB has begun to put into Lloris. Although Brad has been potentially one of the best keepers to play for Tottenham in the Premier League he is now 41 and his goals to game ratio is not as good as Lloris.

Last year we saw Brad achieve a 1.08 goals to game average and 14 clean sheets. This season could be blamed on the defense, however Brad would have to keep a clean sheet for almost all the games left in the league to achieve the same this year. I fear for Brad this is it. He was good last year, but now he would admit that he must hang up the No.1 shirt and allow the next generation of keepers to step in.

The figures speak for themselves Brad is not the same keeper and Lloris's performances are improving out with the old and in with the new.

A big thank you to Brad for his services though (a true hero), but a big welcome to Lloris.

Come on you Spurs
