Fans kidding themselves

However what surprises me further is that so many fans are resigned to losing Bale. They are floating about who should be involved in the deal and who would be good as a replacement etc.

Essentially what people are doing is listening to a “source” that are in essence told by Tap'em Up Madrid what to write. You may as well be getting medical advice from your postman!

The club and AVB have clearly said that Bale is not for sale, Bale has just renewed his BT contract to be the face of the Premier League and this month in an interview with MOTD magazine he stated he wants to help Spurs achieve Champions League football. Nothing has come out from our side on whether or not Tap'em Up Madrid have made an official offer and whether it has been refused or accepted. So again the stance has not changed. Not to mention that the Paulinho deal included a promise that Bale would still be there this season.

Fans have said that if Bale goes and Soldado comes in that it is a good thing, but is it? Bale last season scored over 20 goals, when Soldado comes in that means we may have replaced Bale goals, but we were supposed to be strengthening! Ok, then we have the idiots at the Star stating that Di Maria and Fabio will be included in any deal. So we lose the brightest British star that has performed well for the past two seasons and each year is getting better, for Tap'em Up's cast off's!

If Bale was sold the funds would not be invested (as the Soldado funds were already there), the new additions would be the likes of Di Maria and Fabio as they are thrown in as part ex’s (I would imagine it would stop there).

Does that really seem like we have strengthened the team correctly?

To keep Bale and sign the likes of the two players Tap'em Up are supposedly offering would be correctly strengthening the team. It would make a team capable of challenging the top 4 on a regular basis, then at the end of the season with Champions League Bale could be sold and suitable replacements would be happy to come in.

I will keep saying it Spurs fans be careful what you wish for! How many times have we sold our stars and found a decent replacement? I for one have lost count.

Many people are coming up with all sorts of predictions, but my advice is to wait and see what happens before jumping on the Marca and Tap'em Up Madrid bandwagon.

It may seem like denial, it may seem like I am dreaming, but don't run before you can walk. Remember that Marca said the deal was done last month? Then Spurs came out and said no chance, Marca have a habbit of doing this to aid Tap’em Up Madrid not because it’s genuine.

If anything is to be agreed then it is likely for next year (much like the Ronaldo deal was planned).

Even still I for one cannot see why Bale would want a move to Madrid. Barcelona, Bayern, Utd, yes to all of those, but Tap'em Up Madrid have failed far too many times when Perez goes on his wet dream spending spree. If you look at the money spent it was simply down to idiotic wholesale changes that did not allow the team time to gel correctly. It's the impatient mentality that has always held Tap'em Up Madrid back. Barcelona are without a doubt Spain’s no.1 team and for that reason (and for all the numerous failed attempts by Madrid) I would go to Barcelona (plus having lived in one and spent vast times in the other I can first hand tell you which place is better, not Madrid). If you want to be part of history go to Bayern, Barca or Utd, Madrid only seems nice as it comes with a large wage, it all changes once they lose their patience and believe me history shows they always do!

Forget the rum ours for now and think about what is actually being reported be different sources and with both clubs confirming things in each article.
