Forgotten International Is Free Agent

Jeremy Menez had a fantastic season in 2011-2012 and 2012-2013, however last season saw the French international fall down the pecking order (and for no fault of his own).

In the 2013 -2013 season Menez scored 10 goals and assisted 10 in Ligue 1. He also started in 5 games and notched up 2 goals.

It all went wrong following surgery in the summer of 2013 and upon his return Ancelotti had found his starting 11. Menez did his best to force his way into the team, however Blanc was not interested.

In Menez’s words;

"I am looking for a team that would make me rediscover the pleasure of playing football."

Another player from te French league with champions league experience, experience in both the French and Italian leagues, why pass up the opportunity?

Tottenham have been linked with the winger previously and this acquisition could allow Eriksen to move in from the left and re-inject some pace out on the left wing. This is certainly a player that Spurs should rekindle their interest in and quickly as the player is already looking at moving back to Italy;

"I had a great time in Rome. I already speak the language. I know Serie A, I know everything about it. The adaptation would be easy. Juve is a team that I really like – one of the best in Europe. It has a quality workforce, consisting solely of champions – including in my position. But competition does not scare me."
