How would you spend the quoted £80mill?

There are reports of AVB getting as little as £50 million and reports of as much as £100million, but lets make this simple and go for £80million.

We know where we need to buy and where we need to strengthen and the list I have put below, are my ideas;

DF Jan Vertonghen - £9million

MF Sigurdsson - £7million

GK- Hugo Lloris - £15million

ATT Daneil Sturridge - £10million

ATT Klaas-Jan Huntelaar - £17million

One for the future - Jordan Rhodes - £4million

The prices I have quoted above are all figures banded about from various articles, which really is all we have to go on as to surmise on transfer fee. In terms of why I have chosen these people I think should be obvious, however I will expand on this.

Jan Vertonghen and Gylfi Sigurdsson are supposedly done deals, but given the war chest quoted I feel they have to be included.

Hugo Lloris is the captain and No.1 keeper for france. He has been at Lyon for 4 seasons and has been highly praised for his performances. Brad is expected to be in his last season and although I love the guy he will begin to weaken due to his age.

Daniel Sturridge had performed fantastically under AVB and had in fact scored 12 goals this season and arguably should have been in the Euro squad ahead of Carroll and Welbeck. He is concerned over his position in the squad so it seems simple to me, Man City bought him and Chelsea bought him twice (I think it is obvious that this boy is something special). I wish him a speedy recovery though.

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has been in great form in front of goal for Schalke and with 48 goals in 47 games no one can argue that this striker is back to his best. With a supposed release clause in his contract of £17million only a crazy man would turn this option down. He would fit in with the growing dutch contingency, although Levy may argue against his age (28).

Finally we have Jordan Rhodes the top goal scoring english player for 2012. Ok he is plying his trade in League one for Huddersfield, however the 2012 league one player of the year has shown great potential. Although it is yet to be seen if he can make the step up, but at 22 he poses a great player for the future.

So thats £62million I have managed to spend there, but it has not been made clear if this means that a Modric sale is included in that sum? If so I think its not enough as there is no one in there that can really replace him, yes Sigurdsson can score the goals, but he is a completely different player. My opinion is that IF we sell Modric we also get in Butland from Birmingham (under study for Lloris and Friedel), Luuk De Jong (another striker for the future, but also has current potential) and Ibrahim Afellay.

I would love to hear what others think of my targets and whether they would have anything different to throw in. Let me know people.

Come on you Spurs!
