Huddlestone set to leave

However recently he has suffered from some large injuries and has found it difficult to then break back into the squad, so with a new manager it must be even harder.

He said in an interview with the Mirror

"There are times when I think I might need a move, especially if you don't play for a few months,"

"I am 26. I missed a year to 18 months through injury. You just want to play every game, and if that opportunity is not at Tottenham then I will have to look elsewhere.

"It's been a frustrating few months. There was talk about [a move to] Fulham in January, although nothing was that close to happening where I thought it would be possible.

"I have been fully focused on getting us in to the top four and staying there.

"You speak to the manager every day and if you are not playing for a sustained period then you do wonder what's going on.

"The manager has reassured me that I am in his plans even though time-wise on the pitch it hasn't always been shown that way.

"You can't really judge it over the last five games or whatever. You've got to see the bigger picture throughout the whole season and speak to the manager and see if you're in his plans or not."

"I don't feel back in the team properly," he said.

You've got to feel for Tom as he had looked to be a special player, only to be knocked back by injuries. Over the past couple of games he has really shown his worth with had a hand in some important assists!

He is certainly not the fastest on the pitch, but his pass and ball control are second to none, which had led many fans to say that on the flip side he was too slow for the team and I will admit that I was one of them.

If we are to play with 2 holding midfielders than why not have Tom and Sandro (when fit). Parker is aging and I rate him, but we will need natural progression to fill his spot. When the team is fully fit we will only be playing with one holding midfielder and again Tom could be highly valuable on the subs bench (but it's whether he would stay for that).

What are your thoughts? Would you keep Tom? Would you let him go? Is he good enough to stay?

I am really undecided now as his late inclusion has seen him assist directly or indirectly some match winning goals.
