International Midfielder in London?

Last updated : 26 June 2015 By Hoggg

However there is nothing to state anywhere that this is based on any facts. There are no interviews, no quotes that he is in London.

Where there is a quote is that of Sporting Director Monchi (of Sevilla):

"The possibility of signing Konoplyanka hasn't decreased.

"But we've passed the deadlines set, so, as of today, we have forgotten about this signing and we're working other options.

"We passed the deadlines and the player isn't here, we haven't reached an agreement."

So this whole rumour is based on the fact that Yevhen did not turn up for the meeting with Sevilla. Yes this likely means that he has a better offer, but there is nothing to suggest it is Tottenham. The midfielder could have flown into London and meet with any of the clubs!

As Liverpool have been very active it would not surprise me to see that Tottenham have again slipped behind on a cheap international option.

Would I like to Yevhen at WHL? I’m not certain as the player seems like a mercenary, however I do believe that the agent has a lot to blame in this!
