However it seems more likely that we have struck some kind of deal with Ajax, if the papers stories are anything to believe.
Eriksen and Alderweireld have both been linked with a move to White Hart Lane and with Vertonghen stating that they would be a great addition you have to ask whether there is more behind the paper stories.
The deal between Tottenham and Ajax was long and outdrawn as was the Modric deal, it certainly raises questions as to whether certain agreements were put in place?
I think that Ajax are a top European team and the Dutch league has produced some of the best players of our time, so to call them a feeder club is unfair. However I really can't help but wonder with all that is going on.
Forgetting all this would I have Alderweireld and Eriksen at the club? 100% YES. It seems that players from the Dutch league have always settled in well in the EPL and I welcome some further additions from a club with one of the best Youth systems in the world!
