As it stands Bale has the best goals to game ratio with 0.075. Now RVP and Suarez may have more goals to their name, but they have not been the most consistent. Then looking at converting shots to goals RVP is ahead with 24 goals in just 70 shots, Bale 18 goals in 85 shots and Suarez is far behind with 23 from 103 shots!
If you ask me (bias of course) with Suarez who should have his name withdrawn (following the Chelsea game), Bale should win the award for a second time. Bale has won more games for his team than either RVP or Suarez and we all forget he is still a midfielder!
Any midfielder to have that much of an impact on the team is a player that everyone wants. Would I have RVP or Suarez in my squad? Of Course, but would I choose them over Bale? No.
We have all seen the impact of the player and whether you are a Spurs fan or not Bale should be given the award of player and younger player.
