In the past 12 years Villa has scored over 20 goals in 10 of those seasons, with the last 2 years seeing 9 and this season 15 goals.
Yes Villa may still have it, but can we really justify spending £10million on a striker that is 31 years old?
If you ask me we need to step away from the Redknapp quick fix mentality, it didn't work with Saha or Nelsen.
That sort of amount is high and for a 31 yr old a bad injury record of recent (and thats when the injuries become worse to shake).
I'd pass on him.
