I really don't blame Hristo for what he is said (albeit a small part was because it's Madrid), but he is not wrong in what he states.
I feel though it is more about the fans than the teammates, as I do not believe for one second that they were not aware of the situation.
One thing that does make me laugh is Gareth must be stupid if he thinks it's best not to train before your world record breaking move! With how impatient Madrid and their fans are if he doesn't hit the ground running he will be coming back to us with his tail between his legs. Seriously Gareth if all the reports are true you are doing yourself no favours from you behaviour.
Let's hope that this has all been blown out of proportion and that Tottenham have in fact given him permission to stay away. Personally for the team I think it's the best option anyway!
