Laudrup swoop planned?

Many have said that Van Gaal will be appointed come summer (with many suggesting that all has already been tied up).

However with recent reports of potential player revolts and Sherwood’s inability to inspire Tottenham to put in convincing performances it is now suggested that Laudrup may be on his way.

So whether this is true or not let’s look at the real issues with this.

Levy has just given Sherwood an 18 month contract and the hard task of achieving a top 4 finish. If Sherwood does not achieve this Levy can sack him via a clause in the contract (a get out of jail clause).

At this point you could bring in a manager and present them with a war chest.

As a manager would you want to come into a team with over half a season passed with more issues than the team you have just left?

For me I cannot see how this would benefit Laudrup, the club or the squad.

Normal fans will expect to see Sherwood until the summer, patient fans the same, but for those fans that are impatient and believe it is one player’s fault than they will expect to Laudrup arrive.

It’s simple though now, Levy should really play out his failed cheap plan and deal with the consequences comes the summer. Yes again there are other factors as to why Levy’s plan failed, but there was too much luck expected as a manager without experience and a team with pretty much a new starting 11 was never going to work.

The honeymoon period was brief for Sherwood and now the cheers of a new face in charge have died and Sherwood now can see the true hard task ahead of him with a front line that failed to score against a Hull team that has struggled of recent a midfield with no direction or leader and a back line that is showing as much confidence as a 2yr old asked to dance in front of their family.

We must realise that we are in a downward spiral and we have to ride it out. Whether the players can get back into some kind of shape is just unpredictable.

 COYS!!!
