This news should not come as a surprise to Tottenham fans or the footballing world.
It is annoying when rumours are fabricated from absolutely nothing and papers run with the story, however we all love to read a bit of transfer gossip!
When pressed on the talk of Lloris considering his future in the summer, if Spurs lost out on a Champions League spot MoPo had this to say:
"There is no change, nothing from four, five or six months ago when we spoke about the rumour [before].
"Hugo wants to play the Champions League here for Tottenham and these are rumours. Nothing is true. Nothing has changed the situation. He is happy here and wants to reach the Champions League with Tottenham -- that is his dream."
As the news conference went on MoPo chose to focus more on the team.
"This season realistically it is very difficult to reach the top four," he added. "We need to try -- we have five games ahead -- but at the same time I don't want to lie. It is not easy to reach the top four, realistically."
A good way to end a working week if you ask me.
However the best way to end the week would be a Tottenham win and for Villa and West Brom to pull off a win over City and Liverpool!
