Loan Roundup

Adam Smith played a full game for Millwall against Notts Forest. Although the match ended a 1-0 loss, Smith turned an Andy Reid effort away from goal and had played well.

Harry Kane scored for Leicester within just three minutes of coming on as a substitue (heading in Koncheskys cross). However Leicester came away the loser with a 2-1 loss. A small impact, but an important one all the same.

Alex Pritchard made his first start for Peterborough and had been involved in the lead up to the games only goal. Pritchard was fouled and the awarded free kick was scored by McCann (that’s an assist in my eyes). This secured a 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday, but Pritchard's hard work was well noted.

Our final loanee in the Championship was Jon Obika, he came on as an 80th minute, but did not have enough time to impact a game that saw his club Charlton draw 2-2 with Middlesbrough.

Nathan Byrne and Massimo Luongo both played in Swindons 3-1 loss to Sunthorpe, but had no notable involvement in the match.

Moving out of the UK we have 2 more players to look at.

John Bostock came on at half time in Toronto's 2-1 loss to the New York Red Bulls, but again he failed to have a real impact on the game.

Finally Souleymane Coulibaly came on for Grosseto in their 0-0 draw against Pro Vercelli with 14 minutes playing time, without any notable involvement.

So a mixed bag of news for the players, but I'm glad to see that some of youngsters are out there getting the much needed competitive experience.
