Losses without Lennon myth

Last updated : 18 March 2013 By Hog

Simply.... no. Ok for the past 2 league games that we have lost we did not have Lennon but the losses to Everton he played, the loss to City he played. It was then said that we lost Lennon toward end of the season and again we lost as he didn't play. Again not true.

Looking at last season we lost 6 times with Lennon and 3 without Lennon

The difference is that with Bale and Lennon on both wings it gives us the option to attack at pace on both wings. So when Lennon has been out we are unbalanced and there is only one wing to mark.

The problem is that fans have not realised that we in fact loss with Lennon in the team or not. When he is out injured for 2 games you notice it, but we lose just as many either way.

I know that when Lennon or Bale is out to expect some poor results, but this year Bale has really stepped up to wipe this out.

I think the reason that many people have said this is down to the "One Man Team" comments. As much as I would like to agree with fans I can't, yes we miss Lennon when he is out, but we lose all the same with or without him. Past 8 losses 6 have featured Lennon.

So remember that Lennon is an integral part of the team, but being without him losses are not rising.

He will be back come the Swansea game and that will rebalance the team, but all the lads must now step up and show their worth and want that 3rd spot (not forth)!

Another mention on our competition in conjunction with ICONS.com. With Bale playing so well this prize is not only something to hang on your wall but it’s also an investment. We have had hundreds of entrances and the competition will be running until 29th March so make sure that if you haven't entered that you do below;
