What makes me laugh in all of this is the fact that according to reports we are now trying to extend his contract? According to the Daily Star (oh the gospel of truth haha) there is an increase included, but I believe 0% of stories from them (I had in fact first read the story elsewhere).
Paulinho has been in fantastic form since his arrival in the summer, he is arguably the best signing (in terms of consistency). It is of no surprise that Madrid are supposedly in for the midfielder, but I have yet to see Madrid's puppet Marca step in with any stories so I wouldn't worry just yet Spurs fans.
According to Squawka stats Paulinho is joint third with Townsend in the Tottenham squad having scored 3 goals and made 1 assist in 10 appearances. With an average pass rate of 86% and 0 defensive errors you can see why some fans regard him as our best signing this summer.
All I can say is that I cannot see Levy selling up so quickly and I cannot see Madrid coming in so quickly for another midfielder.
