Misplaced frustration

When players are playing bad, do we have the right to moan at them directly via Twitter?  I don't think that this is even necessary to answer (as we all know the response to that), what is important is that we remain as a team. The fans are as important to the players as anyone of the squad members and we must remain as a unit, not be disruptive. I can easily turn this article around and say that I have been planning this, but its because of something that I did that this actually came about.

When someone misses a shot, pulls someone down in the box or drops a ball in the box, we know that in the dressing room the other players and manager will talk about it, but would try to remain constructive and positive. If the players reacted to their team mates as some of the fans have towards the players we would be in serious trouble. Morale is key in any squad and it has shown that there is a very high morale under AVB. So who are we to destroy it?

As fans we must not destroy that morale with one stupid comment to an individual. Voice your frustration, but don't get stupid with it, its the managers job to give a player a grilling. I know that some fans mentality is that we pay their wages so we have a right, but we don’t like others telling our manager what to do, so we should listen to ourselves there.

As fans we’re there to cheer the lads on. Ok booing is another thing with mixed views, but to a degree I can understand it. I've not booed my team at any match, however its the one time that fans believe they can be heard and get their anger and frustration across to the players, staff and owner.

So I for one will not be including any players in frustrated Tweets as its not my job to tell the player what to do its AVB's and its not my position to destroy confidence or team morale. It is annoying to see players not do what they are capable of or lose their composure, but we must remain the one thing that makes it all worth it for the players.

I thank Keeno and Matthew for showing me the error in my ways, just like anyone out there I will make mistakes and write things that people disagree with, but it is up to you the readers and fans to tell me your views and moan at me (I can take it, I'm a grown man.... I think). I would also take the time to apologies to Defoe for tweeting him that he didn’t deserve a place in the team if he can’t score against Reading, but I should have looked at it as booing my team (if I don’t do that I should Tweet players to moan directly).

Throughout the season the team and players have worked hard together to get us into 3rd, to begin the second half of the season in 3rd is a great achievement, but I must stress to Levy that we need a striker and creative midfielder to move on and finish in 4th or above (but not a cheap option, if we want to be big we must dream big).
