One thing that I saw today that made me laugh was the article on Tottenham missing out on Lewandowski!
Now correct me if I am wrong but we are team brimming with missed opportunities. How do we always get ourselves into these positions?
Lewandowski is just another name to add onto a very... very long list of missed players.
According to Steve Archibald he offered the striker to Tottenham when he was still playing in Poland and whats worse for £5million!
Ok so we do not know whether he would have flourished into the player he is now, he may not have done so well in the EPL. Just look at the likes of Dos Santos (ok that could be down to behaviour rather than adapting) or Boateng who is now arguably one of AC's best players.
Half of what is printed should be ignored though, Damiao was never a serious target (in terms of achievable) and the same as Moutinho.
We must really concentrate in the task at hand. CL qualification is key here, not for the survival of the club (yet), but in terms of moving forward. We cannot keep just missing out on CL football as there are players that will look elsewhere and Bale is one of them.
