The Daily and Sunday Express have said that Tottenham are to revive their interest in Joao Moutinho..... sorry I was yawning then as its the same old rubbish!
There are no quotes from anyone in any position to make a comment and it is the only source to report this at the moment. Could it be that its just a slow day in the office for this Charles Perrin (the person behind writing this or does it have some truth)?
Well I think this is a really simple one to tackle. NO!
Spurs were supposedly close to signing Moutinho at the end of the summer transfer window only to be spoilt by third party ownership issues. Interestingly enough AVB would have known this considering that he bought the player to the club and was likely to have contact with the player, so I believe it is another story floated out there to create commotion. We then got to January with arms ready to welcome Moutinho (not me, but either way) and guess what...... NOTHING.
If Spurs had any interest in Moutinho then it would have come out and been finalised in January. Levy would have worked on tying up the midfielder all through the closed period, however they worked on Holtby (which I am happy about).
So thank you for your article Charles, but it is a load of rubbish and I would ask that you actually find a story rather than re-run the same rubbish rumours.
