The problem is what position does this mystery player function in?
In an interview today the gaffer stated:
"We have our target, I think in the next few days maybe something (will) happen,"
"No worries about that and the people won't worry about the team because we have a lot of good players that can play like a striker.
"We need to be (more) solid than last season because we scored a lot of goals but the problem was we conceded a lot of goals. If we are more solid maybe we can reduce the gap with the top four."
Many are saying that it is a striker, however MoPo's comments do not suggest that.
His comments suggest that Tottenham have enough players that can play as a striker so it's not the focus, if anything this suggests that Totteham are likely going for a midfielder.
If this is the case the likelihood is that NJie will be signed by the end of the weekend or that Tottenham will make the usual mistake of buying Raul Mierles. The reason for it being the usual mistake is going back to the quick fix old player that may offer 1 good season.
For me I would like to see Berahino and with the rumours that WBA are about to sign Salomon Rondon Zenit for a similar fee that Spurs are supposedly offering for Berahino would be good business for both teams.
