Newspapers and their disruptive reporting

I have only just read an article on the "Top 5 Players who've badly let down AVB".

The season is not over firstly and to be honest if any of these players did something to obtain us CL football then the article itself was a waste of time. In fact I see it as a complete waste of time now and at the end of the season.

Ok fans we all know that some players have not worked as hard as others, we all know that some players have not performed to last season’s standard, however is it then a good idea to attempt to bring down a very fragile team morale?

Let’s just remember what has happened this season.....

1. New management staff (complete overhaul)

2. Loss of big names

3. Major transfer targets missed

Please tell me how with taking all that into account we have performed poorly this season?

AVB took over a team that had bounded well and had a good team spirit, but not used to tactics and a high level of fitness. He implemented the tactics and the fitness levels and all that he has achieved he did with little EPL experience and no playing experience at all. I would say that learning the league and its players has been done this year. AVB knows where he must strengthen and who are the lost causes. All this has been achieved whilst essentially doing the same job as Redknapp. I really fail to see how this season has been bad? Due to the major change in tactics etc some players have struggled under AVB and that is again understandable, so why are the fans so quick to jump on the players backs? If you ask me it’s all wrong and we have seriously misdirected our anger. Frustration I can understand, but anger has not been needed at all and certainly not these stupid articles and blogs.

So to then think of who we have lost from last season and the supposed major targets that we have missed out on, again you can see that AVB and the team have done a great in their first season together (whether they have played well this season or not).

Now all we need to remember is that it is all in our hands. 4 games, 4 wins needed and we are guaranteed CL football. It’s not mission impossible guys as we have beaten Man Utd at Old Trafford, so Chelsea at Stamford bridge is a lot more possible if you ask me. Also think about what it would mean to AVB essentially getting into the CL by beating Chelsea, so don't think he won't be all out.

I will continue to support Spurs whether they get CL or not and whether Bale stays or not. Cut me and I bleed blue and white, I get frustrated, but I keep my anger locked away. We all need to remember this is our club and what we do affects the club. So let's keep signing and chanting and getting the players to where they should be, its our job to pick everyone up no matter how bad they are playing.
