Now or Never

The pressure will now be on AVB again to show his worth. Recently AVB had said that all his trophies at Porto must have been a fluke? Well no matter how he meant it, it made me laugh.

Supposedly AVB will is dropping the 4-2-3-1 formation, but I cannot see why he would do this so quickly. In my opinion I would not be so quick to revert to 4-4-2 especially seems as the coach is not tactically minded in that way.

Adebayor has now had the time to get back to match fitness, this now gives Defoe immediate competition and given his last performances he must pass Ade the shirt. Dembele and Dempsey will have settled into the squad, so straight away we should be much stronger now. Lloris will have had the time to settle in and with Gallas in front of him it would help him to settle into his first game. I know Brad has set a record of most consecutive games and that he was fantastic in his last game, but Lloris must be given a game and I feel it is important to do this against a club like Reading.

My team for Sunday would be;

Lloris, Walker, Gallas, Vertonghen, BAE, Lennon, Livermore, Dembele, Dempsey, Bale , Adebayor

I would continue to use the 4-2-3-1 system and I think the players would be prepared to do what is expected of them by the fans and AVB.

Once again though there is a lot of pressure on AVB to succeed and another draw (or worse a loss) is simply not good enough. Teams that we were beating easily last season should still be the case this year. The players must pull their socks up though and show their worth.

Bale and Lennon need to stick to their wings on Sunday and show some consistancey. Whether you like to hear it or not their performances have been low key to non-existant so far this season and its not good enough.

Whether they (the players) agree with the tactics used, whether they argee with the manager in general, they are PAID to do a job. I expect to see a comfortable win this Sunday and anything less is a complete farce. The players cannot keep silent and let AVB take the fall for their failures and lack of commiment on the pitch.

I feel that the players certainly owe it to the fans so lets wait to see what we will be shown on Sunday.

Also for all those avid fans I have a competition being launched later on today!

Come on you Spurs!!!
