Our decline and why

Firstly AVB has commendably come out and stated that the losses are his fault.

Ok he has not made the best team selection in people's eyes, but the players were certainly capable of playing in the positions assigned to them.

The formations are experimental and have failed, but AVB has clearly said it is my fault and will learn from this all.

The players did not play with the usual determination, drive, composure, direction, awareness and spark. This could be down to some playing out of position, but are you telling me that Benni didn't enjoy playing further forward? Of course he did! When you are a professional athelete you cannot blame tactics without blaming yourself (which is a clear issue with the current team) for a loss.

Injuries are a massive issue for us. Defoe has been played when he is far from fit, this has led to him not able to play to his usual high level and it has frustrated him. Lennon being injured is a big loss (as big as Bale), although we lose more with him featuring (on the contrary to common belief) without him the team is left unbalanced. Dawson was injured against Fulham and this also had a big impact on the game and the tactics.

So it is unfair to blame AVB alone, you must blame all parties concerned.

Also there has been a little bad mouthing of Dempsey and to that I simple state 7 goals (third top scorer in the team).

Another mention on our competition in conjunction with ICONS.com. With Bale playing so well this prize is not only something to hang on your wall but it’s also an investment. We have had hundreds of entrances and the competition will be running until 29th March so make sure that if you haven't entered that you do below;
